For restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels and inns
Software for restaurants and hotels, built by people who run them.
Reservations, point of sale, inventory, your website, rooms and staffing. Start with the one you need. They already work together.
Early access. We're taking on a few design partners in Montréal, and every status on this page is the real one.
What we make
Six products. Each one works on its own, with the register you already have, and is priced on its own.
Bringing guests in
Reservations
Online bookings, waitlist, deposits, and a phone line that answers in French, English or Spanish.
Frontsign
A website built from the menu, photos and reviews you already have, set up over WhatsApp.
Lodging
Rooms, rates, availability and the whole stay, for small hotels and inns.
Running the service
TableTalk
Register, kitchen display and shift board. Keeps taking orders when the internet drops.
Inventory Pro
Stock counts by text message, usage, and purchase orders written from what you actually used.
Taking care of the team
Vero
A shift network between places, built to answer to the people who work the shifts.
Reservations publishes its prices on its own site. The others are priced with each design partner.
How they fit together
Each product keeps its own facts. The book owns the booking, the register owns the sale, the store owns the stock. When two of them run in the same place, they pass things along. Here is one day.
How they fit together
- 9:40Reservations → Inventory Pro
80 covers Saturday. You're 6 kg short on salmon, and the supplier closes at 2 pm.
- 11:30TableTalk → Frontsign
The striploin changed price on the register. The website and the online menu now show it.
- 12:15Frontsign → Reservations
A table for four, booked from the website while you were prepping. It's in the book.
- 16:00, ThursdayLodging → Vero
18 rooms check out Saturday morning and two housekeepers are on. Three people who've worked here before are free.
- 19:20Reservations → TableTalk
Table 7 is a regular, back after three months. Last time she praised the duck. Marie has her section.
- 23:10TableTalk → Inventory Pro
Service is closed. The counts came in by text from the line, and tomorrow's order is drafted, waiting for your yes.
Some of this runs tonight. The rest is being built, one hand-off at a time.
Assistants earn their place
Every assistant starts by watching. It earns the next step in your restaurant, one week at a time, and you can send it back a step with one word. Here is the same ten kilos of tomatoes at each step.
1
Watches
Reports what it sees.
Stock is low on tomatoes.
2
Suggests
Asks before anything happens.
Order 10 kg? Reply Y.
3
Acts, you can veto
Does it, and tells you in time to cancel.
Ordered 10 kg. Reply N to cancel.
4
Runs it
You read the weekly summary.
This week: 23 orders, 0 stockouts.
Every assistant starts at the first step, in every restaurant.
What we believe
- Each product has to be worth it alone
- You can run on one product and get its full value. Adding a second is a bonus, never the price of the first.
- Every fact has one owner
- The booking lives in Reservations, the sale in TableTalk, the stock in Inventory. One home per fact means the products agree, and they connect on their own.
- Useful before it's set up
- Useful in the first minute. Settings are optional, and they apply backwards.
- Reaches every phone
- The richest screens are the register and the dashboard. Text messages reach everyone else, so a cook with a basic phone is in the loop.
- Trust is earned
- Assistants start by watching and earn each step in your restaurant. You can take a step back at any time.
- One question
- Does the place run better today than yesterday, with less effort? That is what we build for.
Where it's going
Today
Six products, each standing on its own. Two of them run every night in our own restaurants.
Next
The hand-offs, one at a time: tonight's covers to the stock order, a price change to the website, a regular's notes to the floor. And the morning text.
Later
An assistant that knows the whole place, speaks your language on whatever phone you carry, and has earned every step in front of your team. Restaurants that learn from each other, anonymously. Staff who carry their reputation from place to place.
About us
We run restaurants in Montréal. We built this because the tools we could buy left the connecting to us, and we were the ones who could least afford the hour. Every product runs a Saturday night in our own rooms before we offer it to anyone else, and what you read on this page is where each one truly stands. The name is déjà venu, French for "has been here before".

Questions
- Where do I start?
- With one product. Most places do. Reservations is open to new places today; the others arrive by invitation.
- What does it cost?
- Reservations publishes its prices on its own site. The others are priced with each design partner while early access takes shape.
- Can I keep my register and my card processor?
- Yes. Each product works with the register you already have. Card payments settle to your own account, and our price is one flat, published subscription per place. Every cover and every transaction stays yours.
- What happens when the internet drops?
- The register keeps taking orders, signing receipts and printing, then reconciles when the line comes back.
- Who can see my data?
- You, and the people you give access to. Each place's data is separated by the database itself, and it stays in the region you operate in.
- Who answers when I call?
- A person, in English, French or Spanish, with a direct line to the people building it.
